Reporting Analyst

Job Brief:

To provide a source of expertise to the business for all aspects of business system data reporting. To educate and showcase techniques for data reporting in tools such as Qlik, Excel, VB and SSRS

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Understand stakeholder requirements and translate them into either detailed specifications for other reporting staff or to create the output themselves
  • To advise WGT of advances in the functionality of the currently used tools
  • Reporting to the Head of Business Systems in respect of project progress and advise timescales
  • Mentor junior reporting staff when required
  • Administer Qlik products including upgrades and licencing
  • Liaise with IT team in respect of all technical issues regarding reporting tools
  • Pragmatic problem solver
  • Administer and manage help desk tickets in a timely manner
  • Provide support to users for excel techniques in the form of workshops and toolbox sessions

Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level, preferably in either Mathematics or Computer Science

Skills & Requirements:

  • Previous experience of either Qlikview, QlikSense or other BI or Data Visualisation tool
  • Previous experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment would be a distinct advantage, as would an understanding of the components of supporting ERP applications

Desired Attributes:

  • Advanced levels of knowledge of tools such as, but not exclusively, Qlik products including Nprinting, Qlikview and QlikSense, Microsoft Excel and SSRS reporting. Also working knowledge of VB
  • Willingness to work alongside stakeholders at all levels and within MIS to understand business requirements
  • Confidence to propose and deliver appropriate solutions, to give benefit to the organisation
  • A patient and effective communicator at all levels
