Manufacturing Engineer

We are currently looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to work within our Machine Systems Production team based at our Coalville facility.

Job Purpose:

  • To support the manufacturing team to enable on time production targets to be met

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Manufacturing support to build team:

  • Act as a point of liaison for engineering and manufacturing
  • Management of Engineering Change Requests and output from Engineering Change Notices
  • Assist with creation of Manufacturing BOMs
  • Ensure all manufacturing documentation is up to date and accurate
  • Creation and updating of all route cards for new or existing product
  • Auditing of manufacturing Records of Build to ensure consistency and quality requirements are met

Continuous Improvement (CI):

  • Processing of CI activities
  • Visualisation and reporting of CI initiatives and progress

Quality activities to support ISO 9001:

  • Manage calibration database
  • Raising of Risk to Quality Notices and Process Improvement Records
  • Liaison with Group Quality team

Educational Attainment Required:

  • Practical engineering knowledge – ideally apprentice trained in mechanical or electrical discipline

Experience / Knowledge Requirements:

  • 4 years in a similar role working with high-value capital equipment would be advantageous
  • Experience in an assembly manufacturing environment

Skills & Aptitudes Required:

  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Exposure to Factory Master MIS system would be an advantage

  • Outgoing, good communicator who can deal with shop floor and management alike.
