Earlier this February, Winbro Group proudly showcased our cutting-edge technologies at the Medical Design and Manufacturing (MD&M) West trade show in Anaheim, California. We were very happy to be back in the trade show world to debut our newest technologies and converse among our cohorts. Among the 1,612 exhibitors, we demonstrated our unwavering commitment to addressing the challenges of the medical device industry while pushing the boundaries of manufacturing innovation.
Our booth #720 was adorned with state-of-the-art equipment and manned by our enthusiastic experts. We left what we hope was an indelible mark on attendees, captivating them with demonstrations of our advanced machining technologies. Our electrical discharge machining (EDM), laser micro-machining, and laser macro-machining techniques showcased the precision and quality that are hallmarks of Winbro’s offerings.
A highlight of our participation was the debut of our latest innovation, the 200 Platform. This new laser model, characterized by its compact form factor and unparalleled performance, captured the imagination of attendees and promises to revolutionize laser machining in the medical device industry and beyond. This machine allows you to choose from laser micro-machining, welding, cutting, or micro-drilling applications to configure the right solution and was certainly a highlight from our time in Anaheim.
In addition to the 200 platform, we showcased laser texture sample plates, providing tangible demonstrations of the precision and finesse achievable with our technologies. These samples sparked conversations about enhancing medical device functionality and aesthetics, further reinforcing Winbro’s position as a leader in the field.
Throughout the event, our booth buzzed with activity as industry professionals and industry counterparts also in the laser industry engaged with our team. The influx of traffic exceeded our expectations, underscoring the resonance of our offerings within the medical device community. Conversations flourished, connections were forged, and insights were shared. We enjoyed addressing the unique manufacturing challenges faced by attendees and coming up with solutions that will hopefully help them in the future.
Our participation in MD&M West 2024 reaffirmed our commitment to innovation, quality, and collaboration. As the curtains close on MD&M West, we feel empowered by the connections made and the inspiration collected from this West Coast event.
“Our 200 platform being on display and the buzz at the event solidified our belief that taking our 50 years of aerospace experience into the medical device market will greatly improve the laser machine tool technology for our future customers.” -Chris Pinciak, Vice President of Engineering and Sales
